How much time do you guys spend looking for channel cats with your electronics?

From the time I turn the graph on. I used to find a fishy looking hole, And throw out lines. I Got side imaging just recently, its the best thing since miller Lite.no fish No reason to stop and fish

I use it a lot to find areas that I feel hold fish under the conditions I am fishing. I am not per say looking for actual fish. I am looking for humps, creek channels, and other bottom structure.

from the time i get i the boat i turn it on either looking for bait fish structure or actual the bigger the screen the easiest it is trying to cram all the info on a tinny screen makes it hard pick the smaller details

If you get a Helix finding structure and fish won't be hard once you have it dialed in. When you spend the money for a good finder and don't use it to the best of its ability, it's kind of a waste. I don't channel cat out of the boat much, but when I'm fishing for blues and flats, no fish, no reason to stop. A spot can "look" awesome but if you aren't marking fish, why stop?
