Great all-purpose boat with an open deck and tons of room. 55hp durajet enclosed prop engine works great in stumpy or shallow water. This would make a great duck hunting bow fishing jug lining or rod and reel fishing boat. The motor is in fantastic shape. Just had it gone through by Taylor marine in grapevine and had a new water pump installed. Trolling motor is 3 years old 55lb minnkota maxxum on a welded aluminum mount and wired to the battery in the back. Depth finder is a hummingbird 597 with down imagine and internal gps and Lake Master Texas chip. Trailer is galvanized with new LED lights bearing buddies new jack winch rope and two good tires. Battery is new in 2012 lights on the front swivel and can be used for bow fishing or running. Has bilge pump and interior lights comes with anchor life jackets and everything you need to get on the water.
The 55 hp durajet is a 2000 model commercial Johnson with a CNC tilt and trim. The motor is super easy to find parts for. The only difference between a traditional outboard is the lower unit and prop. Advantages are not having to worry about busted props on stumps and it doesn’t slip as much as a traditional prop drive. This allows you to push more weight and still get on step. The only downside is that it has more drag and a lower top speed. The best I was ever able to do on the GPS was 26mph unloaded. But with 4 big guys bow fishing gear extra battery full gas and a load of fish we were still able to do 20mph and get on pad quickly. Really great hard to find outboard that works well for the kinds of places you have to go to get on the fish or find the birds.
This thing is ready for someone to get after it this hunting season. I hate to have to sell it but I’ve been working too much this past year and I just don’t get to use it enough to keep up with it.
Asking $4000 cash and have clear title for the boat. Located in grapevine Available evenings and weekends to meet. We can Lake Test the boat if we can find an open ramp.
I’ll take offers but I can’t come off it very much since I can probably part out the pieces for close to that. I am not looking to part it out at this time.
