Not as much fishing as hoped, but a great time nonetheless. Lots of hiking...good eating, and relaxing..

It was, thank you! It's a shame that some corporation bought the Utopia On The River B&B to turn it into some private corp retreat. The wife and I were hoping to repeat. We'll find another spot nearby, I'm sure.

I'm already itching to go back. Still haven't caught my Guadalupe Bass or Rio Grande Perch.

I grew up in Utopia. If you plan to go back and need lodging, I recommend Clear Springs Lodging. They have numerous house and cabins, many of which have river frontage. As a kid, I fished the Sabinal from Lost Maples down to the bridge eight miles south of town. Lots of good memories.
