Took a 1/2 day evening trip with guide Kleigh Westphall , Waco Fishing Guide . com - looking for bass. Took a few small LMB's early on crank baits in4-8 feet of water in timber off points. The bite slowed down until we moved to just east of the dam at the mouth of the cut at the Lake Shore Drive bridge. We hit quite a few hybrids feeding on bait balls. Crank baits worked well. Kleigh did well throwing rattle traps into the bait balls when they popped up. Fun trip. I learned lots of tips and techniques from Kleigh... he really knows Lake Waco and the bass patterns. I was able to mark quite a few new waypoints. The Lake at sunset is an awesome sight.

My boat is at Marineland for routine service. Should be out by next Friday. Then I'll be on Lake Waco.
