I use it a lot to find areas that I feel hold fish under the conditions I am fishing. I am not per say looking for actual fish. I am looking for humps, creek channels, and other bottom structure.

Yeah, I'm hoping Humminbird comes out with a Helix 9 or 11.

If you get a Helix finding structure and fish won't be hard once you have it dialed in. When you spend the money for a good finder and don't use it to the best of its ability, it's kind of a waste. I don't channel cat out of the boat much, but when I'm fishing for blues and flats, no fish, no reason to stop. A spot can "look" awesome but if you aren't marking fish, why stop?
