Went out on Sam Rayburn today scout some crappie spots, and found a few.

I went out after some chores and cleaning yesterday's catch about 11am. I had set out some PVC trees and willow bp's. Wanted to see if anybody was home yet. Humminbird said there were a few new residents and the minnows confirmed it. Only had a handful of minnows but the future looks promising.

I really want to pull the trigger on artificial., but I am a creature of habit. Sheesh! I think I will start using a jig as a bottom drop and a minnow as a loop drop and work into jigs that way. I do use artificial for spring time grass bed trolling.

Depth was about 27 feet avg.
