I had an all star top water special that snapped on a hook set. My issue is that I have taken 2 other rod (not all star) back to academy and got them replaced with no problems. Today I took my all star in and got .01 credit. Anybody else ever have this issue with academy?

Did you have your receipt? I've got an all star that snapped while pulling a fish in the boat. Can't find my receipt do I'm a little curious about how this is going to go when I take it back to academy.

Approximately how old is the rod and which model of AllStar? Classic perhaps? Without a receipt, they will give you credit for their lowest price they sold them at.

Take it back to the store. You might not get the full price you paid for it, but they will probably give you the lowest price their computers show for it. They will not give you cash, but issue store credit. Bring your drivers license. They do this provided you haven't had lots of returns without a receipt. Good luck!

They normally give credit for the last price they had that sku recorded at. Sounds like that rod make and model was discontinued. If that's the case, the penny sku is the alert step to stop selling the rod and return to vendor. At what price did you buy the rod? If you bought it for full price in June, it's way early for that rod to be at penny sku already.
