When you have bass palm is when the bass you are catching are repeated bucket mouths and your thumb is safe inside the mouth and the teeth wear on the palm. I always get my buddy fishing on his birthday and forgot it but hey we went on accident ok ok day late but worked. He is terrible with the fly exept for sandbass but Fliped a small popper that skipped under a dock got killed by a nice bass just over 7 he has an old k mart two piece with click drag and level line from walmart. And a leader that is just a straight piece of line. Was shocked he got it in weighted and pitched it back never took a pic lol oh well got him in the dd club three weeks ago or so. We got pics of that one. I didn't set the hook on 3 small bass all evening really had quality day probably landed mid to upper teens in numbers. Landed several with the bogas but still got the bass palm lol. Grant was with is and was new to the water and was on learning curve in the yak and got into great fish as well.

that was the worst case of bass palm I ever Received plenty of blood and raw flesh on that one lol. But that was at the Peak of lake falcon at one point that trip in 30 min my five biggest bass were close to 45 pounds haha. So raw flesh was expected. Today was a little different I'm just plugged along and had a pretty good day with quality fish but did not expect the palm marks.
