I am trying it again! I caught it on the main lake on Sabine. Measured about 3 ft. I have my thoughts on what it is, but it looks a little different than what I am used to. I threw it back since I was not 100%.

That was my initial thought when I pulled it out of the water. It didn't have a belly like I have seen before so I changed my mind. I'm glad it went back in the water then. Thank you for the input.
