Slade, got a question for U. I have an Elite 5 on the TM and HDS 5x on console. Have visited with you about adding the Structure module to the HDS 5X.

Is this Helix unit a better option for the console?

No, and it is the Humminbird AS GPS HS Precision GPS Antenna w/Heading Sensor
Model: 408400-1
The update ratio is much much better on the Helix units from Humminbird than the Elite 7 from the other guys.....Plus Humminbird offers side image.

So the helix 409640 5 " and the 409850 7" have the same technology , just larger screen and price.

Get the biggest screen you can afford. The SI units give you a lot of info but it's only good if you can see it on the screen and anything smaller than 7" might be hard to read.

Yes they are the same with different display size and price.

Coming soon:

Humminbird Helix 9" 10" and 12" Display. These series will be net workable and will have the preset buttons you come to love in the core models.
