I heard Granger is one of the hottest crappie fishing lakes in Texas. I plan on going to Granger this weekend. I wanted to ask if anyone had any tips on location where to go or look? It would save me a lot of gas and time instead of just cruising around looking for condos and man made brush piles. Any help would be a blessing, just trying to have a good time with my 2 boys.
God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28

Wilson Fox park has two boat ramps. Along the shore between them you will see a small section with a sand cliff. Off the shore there are many man made and natural brush piles. Directly across the lake finger from there, not far off the shore, are two submerged gravel pits. If you don't have charts I suggest you go to the webapp on navionics.com and take note of the shallow areas in blue. Part of what you might think is the main part of the lake is only 2 or 3 feet deep for several hundred yards off shore.

On the map above, the other park, a little further SW on FM 1331, is Taylor park. If you launch there and head due west, you will find some drowned timber in 14 feet of water along the north bank. That timber has been good for me. Last time I went they were hitting white jigs at 10 feet. Note them Granger crappie can be very depth sensitive. 2 feet too low or too high and they will ignore you. Good luck, hope you 'feel the thump'!
