First of all I want to thank everyone for the comments on the other threads regarding this event. I am starting to get my feet back under me after going to bed at 8pm last night. This tournament is always fun but I am also glad when its over. There are more hours put in behind the scenes than most people would ever imagine. That being said, I truly love doing this tournament.
We had 55 teams fish with us this year and any of those teams could have won this thing. Every team in this field knows these three lakes very well. It was hot, no winds, high suns and pressure both days. Around 5pm on Saturday the heat was freaking stagnant. On Lake Granbury we had 34 zeros out of 55 teams and only 7 pounds leading the event. On Lake Worth, the fishing was a little better and almost every team finally got on the board. At the end of day 1, Richard Jorge and Clint Nowell had a 2 pound lead with 13.27 and 10th place was around 9 pounds. At this point, it was any ones game. Fishing at Eagle Mountain proved to be just as brutal as Granbury and Lake Worth. At the end of the day, Donnie Moore and Theron Caldwell came to the scales at Fun n Sun with 13.65 from Eagle Mountain and won the event with 24.97. It took just 10 pounds to get paid this year. I will say that in the 8 years I have put this event on that this was the toughest that these lakes have ever fished. I cant tell you how many times through out the weekend that I called myself an idiot for putting these lakes on the card. I want to thank every single team that fished with us this year You guys did an amazing job on check ins, weigh ins and also did an amazing job with fish care. We released 100% all alive on all 3 lakes. The final standings can be seen on our website at www.tto-tx.com
I also want to thank the entire Fun n Sun crew for partnering up with us again this year. The final weigh in at your store was a home run in my opinion. Thanks to Jeffs Band that played some awesome music at the final weigh in. These guys made this event special. Thanks to the Elite Fleet guys and employees at Fun n Sun that came in on their day off to help pull this thing off. Also thanks to the staff at Moritz Chevrolet for coming in and cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for the final weigh in. These two companies step up to the plate in a huge way every year to make it special. Also, thank you Monte Coon for doing check in for me at Eagle Mountain. Thanks to Jeff Gilbert, Dee Trammell, Floyd Yarborough and Waylon Dunn for helping me with the take offs, live well checks and weigh ins on all three lakes. Thanks to my daughter for recording her rendition of the national anthem that we started each morning with. Thanks to Darryl Roach for coming in early and leaving late both days helping me with this. I want to thank all of the sponsors for making this a tournament to remember. Without the help of all of you guys it simply doesn't happen so thank you very much for your support. Fun n Sun, Moritz Chevrolet, Phoenix Boats, M&M Erectors, Mooney Construction, Slocum Heating and Air, Jim Lambert Construction, DWE Hunt Club, Prewitt Electric, Glass Sales Service, Cowser Tire, Big Green Egg, Pioneer Fasteners, Staffing and Payroll, DC Ameridek and Team Trail Outdoors. Thanks to all of you guys.

Me and my guys LOVED IT! It keeps getting better and better every year, and we consider ourselves lucky to be a part of the TTO Team. Fishing tournaments and bass fishermen are our hobby, our business, our interest, and our LIVES, and we are blessed to get to hang out with all the contestants involved. The only thing I've been excited about longer than fishing is playing drums with my boys in the band, and I got to do both! I can't wait until next year...

See everyone at the Fish & Chips Hold em and Squaw creek event in December,
Jeff

You know it smile Just the second most exciting yearly event in December, 2nd only to Christmas!

I already have the list of teams started, so I'm sure I need to add you and Fish Killer?

Thanks Tom, I will try to get the details posted tomorrow... I been at sons varsity practice tonight and just saw this.
It's the same as last year- a poker tournament and dinner at our store Dec 12; bass tournament on Squaw Creek on Sunday Dec 13. Limited to 100 teams, always fills up pretty quick.
