Hookset Brothers and Fishing For PTSD Recovery enjoyed our time on the water with Army Veteran Specialist Taylor Burns who served for 4 years and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 2012 - 2013 who resides in our home town of Bullard, Tx. Taylor's father was also along for the trip which Taylor expressed that growing up Fishing was there thing together so it was a very special trip to be able to provide them a day on the water together. Summer fishing was a grind but managed a few fish on both boats capped off with a good fish just at the end of the trip. Taylor was thrilled by the contents in his Fishing For PTSD Recovery Goodie Bag and expressed his gratitude for being given some great lures that will expand his fishing skills.

These trips are not a magic counseling session but an opportunity to find an alternative outlet to help you cope with your PTSD struggles as it has been vital in our own survival with PTSD and our hope is that after the Fishing For PTSD Recovery Trip you will focus on the healing aspect of fishing and find the enjoyment we have in this sport.
