Had a great day on Ray Roberts today out of my kayak. I sold my bass boat a few years ago now I'm currently trying to get a new one but I did keep my sonar unit (hds5) and installed it on my kayak so I could fish some of the deep brush piles I used to. I know the lake pretty well and most of my spots are way to far to paddle, but a good day none the less. Caught most of the fish on a drop shot, light tackle 6 lb fluro, 18" leader from weight, 18-24 ft of water with a "Aaron's Magic" trick worm. 1/8 oz tungsten drop shot weight. Boated about 25 fish, average was 2-3 lbs with a few at 4 lbs, one at 5-6 lbs and one pig broke me off trying to lip him he was maybe 7-8 lbs.
My phone died pretty quick due to listening to iTunes but I did snap a few pictures of the larger fish and the medium fish before it did.
