Had a great day on Ray Roberts today out of my kayak. I sold my bass boat a few years ago now I'm currently trying to get a new one but I did keep my sonar unit (hds5) and installed it on my kayak so I could fish some of the deep brush piles I used to. I know the lake pretty well and most of my spots are way to far to paddle, but a good day none the less. Caught most of the fish on a drop shot, light tackle 6 lb fluro, 18" leader from weight, 18-24 ft of water with a "Aaron's Magic" trick worm. 1/8 oz tungsten drop shot weight.
Boated about 25 fish, average was 2-3 lbs with a few at 4 lbs, one at 5-6 lbs and one pig broke me off trying to lip him he was maybe 7-8 lbs.

My phone died pretty quick due to listening to iTunes but I did snap a few pictures of the larger fish and the medium fish before it did.

No problem. Saw a lot of boats busting the bank and all the new cover, (most of them buzzed right passed me probly laughing at me) did Any one do good there with all the new cover? I paddled through the cover and saw the water temps were 92-96 and said no thank you going to deep water

Also I opted to fish the afternoon so I got started around 4pm. It may have been cooler shallower this morning I have no clue.

Im wondering if Roberts is ok for putting in alone...I went to Lewisville and it would have been real tough to put in without a 2nd person...Can I tie up on Roberts right now and put the boat up??

Yeah you can tie up to the dock. Jordan park would be easier.
