Any rolled edge bay boat of that vintage will have wood floors, stringers and transom and should be inspected carefully for water intrusion. Any place a screw was run in should be looked at. The price is cheap enough you'll need to decide if it would justify repair or not.

I have the exact same boat. Never had any problems with it. My only complaint is it is not very smooth in rough water.

Like pat said be on the lookout for soft spots/weak transom or floor. I would also have the motor checked out unless your familiar with them. It seems cheap, but if you need a new motor or to rebuild the floor or transom it just got un-cheap in a hurry.

May be a long shot, but its probably something someone traded in. If you could contact the seller you may get a good bit of info, they got nothing to loose anymore.

that looks just like my 1996 pro master and i like it a lot if fact i liked it so much i bout a 2001 but it had been redon from the stingers up and came with a 5yr wary on the work it was do to someone dropping a heavy weight through the floor and his friend did the work and transferred the wanty over i know a lot of people dont like them but i loved mine it it want for being 18ft and the storage lockers took up all the floor space I wold have kept it and that 88hp will last for ever and be cheap to work on if it was take care of just check the floor and transoms real well like mentions for that year is wood and check the storage seats for wood rot they can be a tad of a wet ride if the wind is up

if every think check out it should be a good boat I have learned when i look at boat to take tools with me one of the first thing i to is check the transom bolts to make sure they hand back off a litle if they had i pull the boys and check the wood for moister stealth the bolt and the hole and put ack to gather. check that back bench out it is make of work and if you buy it i would rip it out complexly make sure the floor is solid and cracked in the decking even time it rain the water will get sucked in the the flooring writing it out. then the cotton of the hual if all that is good and the compression checks out with the gages you can get from any auto shop i pull the prop check it and the seals and trailer bearing and for rust then i check the light and bildg pump horn and all the stuff that is easy to fix but on that year of boat thos the fish master pro masters bay master and Cajuns all looked alike and were built to the same specks they are a tad of a wet boat but i really love my 96 pro master and the quietly when way up when bass pro shop bout them out and started to make them. the came with a full composite in tearier. bench and deck. mine cam with a 5yr warty that they guy will honer for 3more years
this was my 96 18ft cc it was a great boat i like it a lot it was not it the best of shape but it ran well and even thing worked it was made my fiber sport who was bout out in 98 my tracker and produced by them till 2001-2002 i know 2001 for sure that is what i have.but when i had guys in the boat who had wheal chairs they did not have an room to move this 21ft keeps them in there chair and they can move from one side of the boat to the other with no issue

this is my 2001 pro master manufactured under the fiber sport name but made by bass pro shop the quality from fiber sport/sprint is the same as the tracker made boats I only paid 6000 for this one it has 325hr on the motor
looked to much alike and so they did away with a lot of brands in 2000-2002

the most notable difference beside the capet that travis in stalled is that the beck in the back does not have the 2 fold up seats and there is no wood on the entire or casting deck so no rot i paid 6000$ for this 21 ft boat 2001 boat and trailer 2002 Mercry 150 blue water with a 4 blade stainless prop and a 6in hydraulic jack plate it will sit in 6-10in of water great boats handles well well made takes a beeting and keeps on going
