Hit Buck Creek this morning an observed this goo on the ramp. While fishing I seen it in attached to various bushes as well. Anybody know what this stuff is?

As for fishing I only caught three dinks. There is a [censored] load of bait fish in the area and it would be my guess the fish are gorging themselves on them. Every now and then you would see shad getting blown out of the water. If I had a rooster tail, gay blade or small swim bait I probably could of had some fun with sandbass. But I did not so I moved on.
Here's what the Buck Creek ramp looks like for those interested.

They're called bryozoa. They're colonies of smaller creatures, sort of like how coral is a colony. Totally normal. In fact they don't tolerate poor water quality well so it's a good sign when you find them. I've seen them on a lot of lakes this summer.
