Hey guys I have an opportunity to buy a coosa HD for 20% off at a local dealer, but here's the catch this particular kayak is their last one in stock which became their demo model. It was said to have been only put in the water just once which I believe based on how good it looked, however when I flipped it over to inspect the hull I noticed a couple of indented warps horizontally from where they had it stored across 2 flat 24's. So I asked the guy about it and he said yeah those will come out and said we've had good luck in the past with em coming out. I ended up taking it out and testing it on the water it felt fine and looks like it's in excellent shape minus the warps but those still concern me. So my question is should I be concerned or is that a fixable problem?

As far as the dents are concerned, flip it over and leave it in the sun for a couple hours. They should pop out.

Anyone agree with Pecros? Opinions please. I'm trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on it or not.

I don't like the Coosa so I'm not telling you to buy it.

Ask the seller to flip it over for two hours in the sun. Then show up and see if it worked.

All kayak hulls will bend due to storage sun etc.. Yes if you place in sun it will move back to original form. Any questions just send me a PM. The hull has warranty so there should be no issue no matter what.

The Coosa HD is a lot different than original Coosa that was made more for river fishing.

I've got an HD and I love it. The perfect all around boat but I'm also a bit biased cause I prefer river fishing. I had to haul it on its belly long distance once and the hull was slightly warped when I first took it off. But as others have said, after a couple hours in the sun, it was back to normal. You could also put some sandbags or something heavy inside the hull to help it out.

The hulls are made to give so they bounce off the river rocks! bolt

Just one more cast!
