As of today, Grapevine is 13.74' above pool...and dropping. Does anyone know how low it needs to go before any of the public ramps open? I'm sure a visual inspection could tell me but I haven't had time to go out and look recently. Thanks!

Katie's woods high water might open at around 10', but I doubt it ever opens. My guess is no public ramps will open on grapevine until after Labor Day.

I went out and scouted a little. Katie's Woods high water ramp could be used right now if they were a mind to. Only thing is there is no parking. I did manage to locate and chum me 3 spots for some banking tomorrow. Been a while since I bank fished anywhere. I figure on having a line in the water bout 6 am.
The water looks good and clear out there.

I'm guessing it needs to drop another 4 ft. before it touches the top of Dove Loop ramp.

Just for perspective the parking lot at Twin Coves is still under water.

The Town of Flower Mound website indicates Twin Coves Park will not reopen until fall of 2016...check out the link:

Twin Coves Park Upgrades

I did speak with a COE rep last week and he indicated it is possible the Murrel high water ramp could be open as early as this weekend but that is not yet confirmed. Currently you can drive into Murrel Park but only to go the Marina. No fishing or anything else is allowed yet but that should change when the open the high water ramp. At least that is what I was told...

At 7' over Katie's Woods High Water should be be open but I get the feeling the city is getting federal disaster dollars so gvine will probably be the private playground for slip renters for a good while.

Yep, Grapevine is all about the money. They could care less if the lake ever opened again. GV gets millions in tax revenue from the airport and really don't make any money off of the lake and it costs them $$$ for the parks dept to do maintenance trash pick etc. Sucks.
And then there is the ripoff from the owner of the Marinas for boat launching. It even cost $20 just to drive into the park area at the south end of the dam. That just ain't right IMO. Screw them. Ray Roberts is 100 times better lake to fish anyway.
