I went out last Sunday from sun up until about 1PM, only caught one small one and that was shallow against the bank. Also tried a crank bait in 6' then a deep diver near the dam. I have done well at Purtis but not this time. It surely wasn't the fishing pressure. I had the only boat on the lake and saw 2 kayakers.
Fishing shallow I was using watermelon red senkos and baby brush hogs.
I am going to try Waxahachee tomorrow, never been there, just as well try new water.
