I tried the Ardent Gliss line today it is flatout great 24# about the diameter of regular 10# very little if any stretch and just casts great. I hung up couple of times and the line just didn't give it also floats so it will be a great topwater line the diameter is so small I had no problem getting a deep diving crank bait and a spoon down.

Is it something you could use in place of flurocarbon as far as flipping and what not. Just wondering the visibility of it.

Sounds like I can use it in the same applications of copolymer.

So what is it competing against braid or flouro. I haven't seen it yet.

I was using green but I am going to get some clear to replace my floro the line is about as limber as braid and strength is about the same but it is much smaller in diameter. I hung a DR10 and pulled it loose checked the line and no apparent damage when I got home I hung the lure on a fence to check it and it seemed just as strong as before the hang up. I believe Tackle Warehouse has some now. Just found an empty spool of 18# and the diameter is .006 my neighbor has the empty 24# so I don't exactly know the diameter but there is very little difference.

Tackle Tour did an article on it last month. Click here --> http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=64952 . The writer had issues with the knot strength. I have not used it yet but would like to hear from someone who has.

I used the knots I use on braid and what little I got to go this morning I had No problems. I will say if you get a professional overrun it is harder to get out. When I hooked the lure on my fence post I realize I didn't have a machine to test the breaking point but I know I was pulling harder than the fellow who did the test but I was using 24# tomorrow I will spool the 18# uo and tie it on the post and try that.
