here is my thing with combos I found. You either get a good real and a crappy rod or a crappy reel with a good rod. If I match my rods and reels separate, they gave me a better set up then buying combos. That just my 2cts If you like the combo set up get it. bet it might be worth a few more dollars go by one and them match it up the the other eBay is a good place to buy after you fined what you like.

I don't necessarily mean the combo needs to be bought as a combo. What Rod & Reel combinations are best at those price points for bass fishing?

I use Lew's BB1 Pro reels and TFO rods now that I live in the great state of Texas. Combo runs just over $300 depending on how you shop.
