I live about ten minutes from Lake Ray Roberts and earlier in the year I found a spot on the map that I've been wanting to try. The lake has only had one ramp open for most of the summer and it was closed all of last week. The water has been so high that I haven't been able to get under the bridges. This past Friday some of the public ramps opened and the water has come down enough to get my boat under the bridge and back into the spot I've been wanting to try. Had a blasted with my two kids this morning and caught 7 different species and about 20 of them were pretty male Longears. They were on beds and fought great on UL gear.

UL shad colored crank baits, white rooster tails, and shad colored tube jigs were the the baits used. We stopped fishing at 100 fish boated. All released to fight again.

Most Colorful of the six sunfish and SUPER FIGHTERS for their size!  Always love getting into a school of nice Longear with the ultra light.  Side Note: Time with the family on the water is simply PRICELESS! Nice fish and an AWESOME post!
