Ok here is the skinny. Yesterday's catch was caught on BoneHead Tackle " Stump Bugs" on a 1/16 unpainted jig #2 sickle hook and florocarbon leader off my braid main line.

Even tho it's hot and the crappie are lethargic they can't resist an easy meal and are hitting these baits on the fall. This bait is made to fall slowly and are my go to's year round when I'm wanting a limit.

The only place their available right now to be shipped to you is Pro Angler Tackle & Bee Ready Rod Holders. For the local guys Fun n Sun Boat Sales in Hurst,Tx has some and I just dropped off a few colors at Fisherman's Point Marina & The Lighthouse Cafe' on Richland Chambers.

I had the same results with these baits last summer and fall as the you tube videos show. I hope this full disclosure helps you whoop them as we have been!

We do not have them on the website nor will we be selling them yet. You must contact stores to get them.

Tight lines to all!

Told you the fluoro leader was the ticket. What brand did you got with? The black/pink stump bug saved me this winter on the slips. fish thumb

Double grinner

Not easy but it is the most reliable I've found.

Blood knot? Dang, I hate tying those, but they work great.

Watch your line like a hawk. 80% of hook sets were when line just didn't fall any more. They are lazy till you peirce their nose then the fight is on.

If you go to VideoFishingknots.com , they call this knot a Double Uni knot. There is an excellent video of the knot posted there. This knot has saved me a lot of money over the years. If you are fishing for Crappie, why put a whole spool of high dollar line on the reel when 50 or 75 feet will be plenty. Just join the new line already on your reel using this knot.

Try this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J56O3CZVu7M

I've used it for the past 3-4 years and can count how many times I've broken a line to leader knot on one hand with a couple of fingers left. It looks complicated but it's actually pretty simple once you've tied it a couple of times.
