That's what I keep saying to my girlfriend . I'm shocked it was there. I was kind of in disbelief . My first gar too . Never thought it would be mixed in my net with about 20 shad

Eh, depends what you're going for. I see a lot of little fish come out but never anything of real size. Although a guy today had about 50 pounds of sandbass . He was catching them every single cast. Bluegill are plentiful and BIG . Caught a few today close to a pound each. I feel like most of the big stuff moved downstream a little out of that shallow water . At 105 degrees I'm not real fond of the idea of getting bitten by a snake and havin a heat stroke simultaneously hiking down there lol. I've never had issues parking there. I've seen nice trucks out there left overnight and still no problems.

Is it safe to eat fish from there I would think the fish are coming from mountain lake . Heard that mountain lake was contaminated this was a while back . Not sure how everything is now though?

We catch quite a few good sandies while bass fishing the river in Mountain creek. Usually staged up under the outside edge of overhanging trees or shaded lay downs.

Yea I was fishing off the side of the walkway closest to the road you come down to get there. Right down off the wall next to the tall grass. Lots of dead fish floating up in that cove so I wouldn't recommend eating anything unless you know why they might be floating up there lol. Big gills and occasional drum using various jigs .
