I would have some suggestions for you if you want? Just an FYI! Basically what I am talking about is using some UV glue over the blue part before you Palmer the hackle and this that I am talking about would end up helping protect the stem of the hackle. You would use a UV light to cure the glue while holding the left over hackle in you hand while doing this. Then you would finish by cutting the hackle off after the glue is set and whip finish is done. It need protecting because if a fish tooth or anything else cuts or breaks the stem the thing will unwrap. You can also tie in a piece of copper wire and leave hanging off the back until the hackle is in place, then wrapping the wire back over the stem to the head and tie off. Both of these will help make it a stronger tie. Okay I found a video I wanted to show you this and here it is.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3Tv7pr08fESkip

Here is what I did after seeing that video and this was tied in summer of 2011. I never fished it, but after thinking about that I will see if I can find it to fish next spring long lining! Skip Oh and under a Black light...
