Thanks Ted and RL.I meant to ask if it was worth making a trip to. My trip back in June was not very exciting.

Is the area up near the PGT not good or something? I never see any bassboats up there fishing at all?

Nah. Shallow flats and silted in creek channels.

I haven't been out there lately - and definitely won't be until the fall. it looks like the pleasure-boat traffic quadrupled this summer when other metro lakes were shut down.

good luck!

It's a terrible area, I wouldn't suggest anyone wasting their time up that way. wink

To the OP, I've never had much luck there. Fished it a couple dozen times over the years and never had a trip that I thought made the drive worth it, and I only live 20 minutes away.

I could probably count on 2 hands the number of bass I've caught in those 20-25 trips. If you want to see the quality of the lake for the average fisherman, just look at how many zeros they have every year in the RHBC tournament on RH. Seems like half the teams catch 1 or 0 fish every year, and it's their home lake. It's just a really tough lake unless you spend a ton of time on it IMHO.
