How do you attach a fish finder to a float tube? What type of fish finder do you use and how do you power it?

For power, I've got a deer feeder batter in the side tube pocked that I have two clamps connecting the wires.

Care with using clamps, if they are close to each other and happen to touch metal to metal- you have a fire hazard.

Just a friendly heads up.

just got one of the mounts from fishingmounts.com. Haven't put it on my tube which is one of the old fishmaster tubes that I have had for a bunch of years. Used a fishing buddy for awhile but was never very satisfied. Hope this one doesn't have the same tendency to slip around to one side.

I would think about a Humminbird Fishing Buddy. All self contained. Being re-released 2016.

I have one of the older fishing buddies and never really liked it on the tube. It would not stay in place and it finally quit working. I rigged up a cuda 200 that I had on hand on the fishing mount with battery. I think it will be great, but it is heavy and will not be friendly for a long hike to water.
