Lake Belton has a pretty good population of smallies. Texoma also.

grapevine, texoma, lake whitney, belton, bridgeport all have smallmouth and i'm sure plenty more in texas do. the problem with smallmouth fishing is its hard to target them. they live in the same areas and eat the same things. to truely target them you have to go to a fishery that has a great population of smallmouth in correlation to the largemouth. good luck!

murray, texoma, broken bow all have some good smallmouth populations, broken bow would be my first pick for some biguns.
murray down by the dam area is always good, texoma (if you can launch there yet) up by the river, fish riprap, main lake OKIE side up at the railroad bridge riprap has some good fish too.

Had no idea they had stocked so many! Great lake for them based on the type of cover, or lack of. Have yet to catch one. Caught several spots there but no SMB. Maybe my time is soon.

If you're up for a canoe/river deal, I've heard that below the Whitney dam on the Brazos is dyn-o-mite for smallies.

belton, grapevine, texoma... texoma would be my go too....
all the Colorado river lakes have them..
I havn't heard of one caught at Whitney in a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGG time... and i live close and family keeps a boat there.
If you are driving somewhere to target them, Whitney is not the place
