Went out yesterday morning and caught a few not many with any size to them today they were hard to come by and hardly any with any size to them all very small this year sandies?
Is it the high pressure or just the dang lake this lake has always been hard to fish with any front or high pressure! Or is it just me?
5 on board today all small ones and 2 big drum yuk!!!

Been fishing the lake for 3 weeks about 3 times a week. Wearing those DINKS out!! No size? Last 3 years my freezer was full by now. Not many birds, when I see 1 or 2....I think they are watching me! Maybe they are in the creeks? Idk

I haven't been there at all this year. Last year we've caught good size sandies. Big school around Wolf Island and the flat. Since the flood I have not try it yet. Been hitting east Texas lakes instead. Some lakes fish is easy to come some you can't catch them to save your life. Thanks for your report.

Friday I cleaned 100. Saturday it was terrible. They never came up like the day before. Didn't fish today but was told they didn't school good today either.

The fish this year have been bigger than last years. At least till late in the year. The shad kill last winter did a number on them and the crappie last year.

I have not fished the lake much until this year. It has been really hit and miss. I've fished 5 times now with lots of big fish on some trips and some trips not as good. Today the wife and I found fish on the east shore north of the state park and all along the west shore. There were other boats fishing with us in both spots. There were Shad everywhere and tons of 4-6 inch Sandies. We could not find any larger fish today at all. The good news is that next should be awesome based on what with saw today.

I think the sandies are on a 3 day off period then 1-2 day on fire period, seems like the 1-2 days they're feeding you can limit pretty quick by Wolf Island and they have some decent size to them and then they go down for 3 days and suspend, they're still there because I've been marking them but just cant get them to hit.

We've been a few times this year, found good numbers of just north of the state park along the east shoreline and also on the east side of wolf island. Hadn't tried up north of the island but last year we were finding some large schools on a couple of the flats up there.
Anyone been up that way? It's harder to chase after them, but we found they stayed in the same general place chasing the shad in and out of the trees.

Thinking about going Thurs. am about daylight thirty. If Sandies won't bite I can always go to the weeds and get after the kitties with my dough bait.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
