It caught more fish than a feather jig did. I didn't catch any on minnows although I missed several bites. Biggest went 2lbs even according to the BogaGrip. Caught 20 or less. Cleaned 5.

Why laugh? Looks like a good bait to me. I think most of us have used minnow tipped jigs with success but, I know I've never tried your method! Good job!!

You know the old saying "necessity is the mother of invention". It's got the action, scent and texture all rolled into one jig and not to mention you've found something to do with the minnows that die in the minnow bucket AND it works. Heck, I'll stand on the bow and do the Hokey Pokey if it'll make em bite. Good job.

Pinch heads catch lots of crappie! Some days seems all that will work. Have caught a bunch at Bardwell on them.

No laughing here! Booked a trip with one of the well-known guides and he turned us on to this trick. No need to worry about live minnows and seems to work better!

I have been doing that for years. At Bardwell we call this method the headless minnow. I was amaze when Robert first showed it to me. I never let the hook show I leave it inside the body and it becomes weed less. works great while fishing in brush. Beats throwing away dead minnows. mediums minnows work the best for this method.

I call it the Pinched Head Minnow technique and it really WORKS!!! A Hispanic bro turned me on to it at Navarro Mills a few years ago. I like to use a 1/16 or 1/32 oz jig at Navarro Mills Marina & Crappie point and hide that barb inside the cavity for a weedless presentation. GOOD STUFF thumb
