thinking about trying again this weekend, either tomorrow or sat night.

which spot would you suggest this time of the year? i like to target either flat or blue.

Lavon

Brockdale Park
little ridge cove

lewisville

little elm park cove
cottonwood park
oak point cove side or lake side?

any of them closed? hate to drive all the way for nothing.

thanks.

Another option to add on Lavon would be Tickey creek park area. Can be a decent area with South winds. No clue on Lewisville, I have fished it maybe twice. Good Luck where ever you go.

+1 on Tickey Creek Park, I'd listen to Dave, he knows Lady Lavon and probably most if not all big cats in that lake. Lol

Brockdale is good on SE but not on SW wind... I haven't been fishing Lavon for awhile and don't even remember when I last fished Lewisville, not much help on specific location. Just general suggestions you need to fish deeper water in the summer and wind in your face, good example is Tickey Creek Park, it has relatively deep dropoff near shore, good for all sought winds... You can buy fishing map from Academy around $10 it shows topographic lines with water depth near shorelines, which is a must have scouting tool. Hope that helps, and good luck wherever you go... stay cool.

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.
