Where are some good spot to carolina rig on lake conroe? I'm new to the area and I've heard it tough to catch them this time of year on this lake unless you go deep.

You're not going to get any information on spots here. Use your resources, and spend time on the water to find spots.
Conroe can be a pain in the butt and difficult, but it pays off if you're persistent.

this is easy, it's summer. C-rig main lake points until you find em.

You should know better than to ask for advice on a fishing forum!
I would help, but have never done well there deep...

Thermocline develops in early July. Low oxygen levels below about 15 feet. You can catch them deep but they don't group up as much and can't stay down there as long. Usually around about 10 to 14 ft is a better depth this time of year.

I caught one on a C-Rig there a couple weeks ago. I was actually fishing for some bluegill for our evening feast but couldn't stop myself from throwing a worm for a while. I was near the Cagle minefield area, and it was around 3PM and hotter than heck, sun shining as bright as can be. A nice sized chunk grabbed my Strike King 3X, 7", Dirt colored worm in a couple feet of water right in some flooded brush near the shoreline. Might have been a fluke, but a nice surprise anyway. I also caught one that morning on a Ned rig, but it was dink, probably under one lb.

No, but at home on laptop it is. Could do a little research before he leaves the house.

I went out Monday, Wednesday, and yesterday. All I threw was a C Rig and did surprisingly good. All 3 days combined I probably caught 40 but only went out for about 2 hours each day

All 3 days combined I probably caught 40 but only went out for about 2 hours each day I think the deal with Conroe is knowing more where to fish than knowing what to fish with,,,,that said I really suck at the knowing "where to fish" part on Conroe!! Hahaha... But seriously that's what the OP of this thread was about, he was asking for general areas that folks "in the know" C-rig on Conroe,, sadly I cant help him...
