I'm only about a year and change into kayak fishing but brought my kayaks with me to Surfside this week. Anyone have any advice of a decent place to put in easily and be able to do some fishing without a tremendous distance to paddle? I'd have my 13 year old son with me as well as possibly another guy who had never fished from a kayak before so I need something suitable for all. Also advice of techniques and species to target would be great.

Go to the surf if it's flat.

That's what I was hoping to do but it's been rocking since we got here. Hoping we get lucky and catch a flat day by Sunday...
