What should I get him? I have been looking at Sonny's and docs and junnies cat tracker dip bait but the only thing that's drawing me away is buying dip tubes all the time. Or should I just go order him some sure shot? If y'all have any other recommendations on punch baits or dip baits please let me know. I'm gonna take him fishing because we haven't gotten to have some father and son time in a while so I wanna surprise him with a good punch bait or dip bait. Please help me out. I have used most of them and the two I have in my boat are Stubbys and chemdogs baits, have used most of the other punch baits and they all work to some degree, I just like to support Stubby and Chemdawg, they are FF members who are not afraid to share information... So I support my local Texans

I like Sure Shot. I buy a 5 gallon bucket every year, it gets made nearby and is convenient for me, and we catch a lot of fish. I need to try Stubbys out and the others to see how they do in these lakes around me.

Neither Stubby's nor Chemdawg's is punch or dip bait, which is what he asked for. Although with this heat if they stay out of the cooler too long they might melt enough to make punch bait.

no mine does not melt in the sun i can leave in in the dricect sun in 98% weather and fish it it will still hold in fact i dont even put the lid on it when i fish i set it on top of the chum bucket or my cancel by the steering wheel i had to adjust it a little from last year do to this heat. and yes i do make a dip bait i have a few guys trying it out now to see if they like it or not i normally dont make it till winter time as the water is colder this lets make sure it is still amble brake down and put of a good sent were harder baits hit the cold water and wont break down as fast if at all i know most cheese baits i have tried and i tried a whole lot can sit in the cold water for an hour pull it out it still looks the same as it did when you put it in. If it wont break down the sent trail is minimized i didn't really advertise it much last year as my local guys were buying it up pretty quick and i was having a lot of problems with my back healing up after a fall but i be selling it and if someone wanted in i would make some for them but i dont see a high demand for dip baits when my dough bait works so well and not as messy but your right on him making post about baits all the time he has every one under the sun in his signature

Well you've gotten multiple opinions on the last 15 posts, so why don't you just base your choice off that? All that you're doing is crowding the forum.....

You need to quit steering your dad in the wrong direction and buy him a cast net! You gonna be stinkbaitin for mud cats your whole life? You need to be careful with that rot bait I think a few guys that are cooking it up are going batshat!

Secret 7 and sudden impact is our go to for channel cats. Never used Stubby's but have heard nothing but good things about it. Another Texas made bait that we have used with good results is Lewis King's.
