I have six Vendetta rods--no complaints
Comfortable/light/well balanced. Strong and sensitive. Hook holder is in a good location.

My only complaint is about the entire range of Abu Garcia themselves. They are great rods, but their actions seem to be off by order of 1/2 to 1...

Medium = Medium Light
Medium Heavy = Medium
Heavy = Medium Heavy

If you like the action, that's cool. I broke two Veracity, and have seen a few of the tips on the Veritas loose their inserts. However, the Veritas and Vendetta have performed well for me overall.

You should be happy with it as a jig rod, burning a frog on top of heavy mats may be a little tricky but doable if you get them up and out quick.

I have used the 7ft Heavy for the past 2 years .... 2 of them and really like them.
So much, that I just bought a MH 6'6" to go along with them.
I paired the 7ft rods with a nice Abu Garcia STX and 20# line to land several 6lb down at Falcon and my PB 7# 14oz fish on Lake Athens.
Very good feel for the fish

I use Veritas and Vendetta's exclusively and am sad to hear that about the other rod lines, I'd have just assumed more of the same quality. I have to say your experience is quite the opposite of mine. I always advise people that they tend to be heavier than rated, compared to other rods I have used. They are some seriously stout rods overall

I agree with Mulholland, the Vendetta MH is on the heavy side of MH (compared to my other rods Daiwa and AllStar)

I changed from them some time back because of the same feeling. Heavier actions than they are rated.

I agree they are stiffer than labeled. I have a heavy and it has zero tip action making it hard to cast, flip, and pitch. I have started just using it for punching with a heavy weight. I changed to the MH for Jig and Frog. It will give you a lot more casting ability.

I have broken 4 of them and Academy replaced every one. If it were not for them replacing them I might have switched. I don't store my rods in the boat so they get transported a lot and probably caused weak spots.

Glad I'm not crazy... their heavy rods are BROOMSTICKS lol, definitely far and away from medium heavy. Only really useful for punching thick matt and jacking fish out of heavy cover hard and fast. The 7' 3" is HEAVY weight/power... but the actions is MODERATE. You would probably want the 7'3" MH power XF action for jigging, but that's even overkill for me personally, I use the 7' MH Fast for flipping, skipping, and pitching. I can't manage a longer rod for skipping, and I can't properly load up the heavier rods, and that 7"3" MH is probably 40-50% stiffer than the 7' MH rod, go look at them side by side in the store and you'll be amazed.

I love the reel seats, balance, sensitivity and strength of the blanks. They aren't the flashiest around but they are a very good value. I find myself constantly wondering why I buy the more expensive Veritas when I love the Vendetta so much already...

I have several Veritas and Vendettas and like and use them all the time. They are very good rods, light and sensitive. They are a little heavier then labled as noted above, but they are good rods. I would recommend them, in fact I have recommended them.

It may just be the sensitivity throwing you as well... they are notably as sensitive as a 1/2 power rating lower, but stiff like a power rating 1/2 step higher haha, odd rods for sure. I was very confused when I heard you call them limp noodles! I can hardly find use for the heavier rods at all, and I chunk some solid baits lol. They do keep a decent tip on most of the rods though save for the 7'11" broomstick, that thing is better suited for shallow water anchoring a boat than casting most lures lol

Curious which rods you used from their lineups with different results, what length/power/taper?
