They could be 6 to 8 inch white crappie

That may be all they are. We occasionally catch a white that is 10-13" long but the majority of them are whites in the 5-8" range..... I'm still learning so I'm going to keep pounding away at them with all of the extra suggestions here.

Ghostrider, The majority of the time when I see crappie stacked up as seen on your graph picture, they are little black crappie

I only know this from what I seen and have caught. I dont typically stop and fish for them anymore. They could be 6 to 8 inch white crappie or 2 pounders????? Besides black crappie are carpet munchers and will frustrate you to no end. Just ask Lane Palmer, he finds schools daily only to catch one or two and then moves on, something that is hard to do when you know whats down there.

Anyways next time take you some crickets, earth worms or minnows. Catch one and you will know.
CARPRT MUNCHERS?? REALLY ??? hmmm Cmon man

"When they don't want to bite, you can't stop em". A malaprop on an
old Yogi Berra statement. Sooner or later they have to stop not wanting to bite.
