I dig the clear because I can see it better in low light conditions... Just ordered a 1000 yrd.10# spool last night.

I've been using the Clear for two years with no complaints. Awesome line.
I've never tried the Mean Green. Why is it preferred by many?

Mean Green is what I stared with back in 2000 and what I till fish with today. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. LOL.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Green is what I started with many years ago and still use today. I do have one spool of the clear but haven't used it yet.

Green line is the only line that cannot be detected by underwater photography.

For real? Does it matter if the water is clear or stained?

How does it compare to green Berkley Big Game? I used Big Game for years until I started using McCoys about 10 years ago. McCoys doesn't have near the memory of Big Game especially in cold weather. I also think the McCoys has a little more stretch when fighting fish which for me results in less break offs. And one major thing for me is I used to get back my line after a break off and could tell it had broken at the knot a lot of times. Not saying it is a problem of the Big Game line but probably more my faulty knot tying but have never really had the problem with McCoys. I really like McCoys but also realize one of my best buddies who is a lot better fisherman than me has used nothing but Big Game forever with no problems. Sometimes it is just getting confidence and a good feel for a particular line and for me that is the McCoys Mean Green and also McCoys Braid.

Have never seen McCoy's in a store. Where do you buy this stuff? Southwestern Parts in Dallas has it. Have you called any of the local privately owned tackle shops to see if they have it?
