Not much buzz surrounding this tourney. Anybody fishing it?

Could have been a good trail. To bad it turned into a jackpotter's dream.

Just wonder why this did not take off. Seems like something everyone wanted.

Because it wasn't a true tournament trail where everyone fishes every event.

From an outsider looking in... They had a certain set of rules in place and changed them. When that stuff happens, turns people off in a big way.

Why was it cancelled? Too hot and fish care concerns? Low turnout?

I wonder when they will announce the 2016 schedule?

I don't see anything on their website that says the event has been cancelled? But they do have a 125 boat minimum so, if only 20+ boats were gonna fish, I guess they could cancel?

I thought it was a 125 maximum.

You're right, Brandon. I read it wrong. 125 boat max. So is it cancelled or not?

The tournament has been cancelled. Every team that was pre paid for the event got a phone call.

Yes the tournament was officially cancelled on Monday.
Hot temps, slow fishing, and too much opposition to cedar creek vs Ray Roberts.

The tourney is being rescheduled back to Ray roberts and will be sometime in the spring. No date set yet.

Personally I prefer cedar creek, but they didn't get much following when they rescheduled it. Then after 2-3 weeks of practice time, boys started dropping out when the fishing sucked. Plus the 7 days forecast of 100+.
Since payout is solely based on entries and not sponsor money (guaranteed regardless) they had no choice.
