My wedding anniversary is coming up and me/wife are looking for a place to go either this weekend or next. I am wanting to find us a cabin to stay at and do some fly fishing somewhere in the hill country. A rio grande perch is high on my bucket list to catch on the fly. Any suggestions from the experts? I looked into the S Llano around Junction but a coworker went last weekend and heard the fishing has been tough so I am looking at other options too. Thanks for the help.

I'll be down in the new Braunfels area this week starting Wednesday through Sunday if you do get down there this weekend give me a shout I'll be hitting some different areas. I won't claim to be an expert but I tend to catch a few fish. Fishing has been decent around there.

The Guad anywhere around Kerrville is usually good. Fish the tailwater close to the spillway in the morning if you want a shot at a LMB.

Rios are around for ya. Do very well with them on the Guad around comfort,Dunlap, and Cibolo creek. They're quick to take a fly(buggers/nymphs). Good luck!

Robert is there any place specific around New Braunfels that is away from all the summer traffic?

Landa Park doesn't get too bad. You could fish the Guad around rio raft I don't see hardly any tubers on that stretch.

Thanks for the invite Robert. The way computers have been acting at school this week I'm pretty sure it will be next weekend. I haven't gotten anything lined up yet.
