What Dobyns CASTING rod is the best for shakey heads? Looking at getting one in the champion series but am open to other good casting rods as well. Thanks!

I've used the 702c for the past 6 months. I've used it for shakey heads, split-shot rigs, and smaller weightless worms and have liked it for these presentations. Dobyns will say it's rated for drop shot as well, but I have not liked it for that. I used it for drop shot on a day when I didn't have my normal drop shot set up, and the 702 has more backbone and a stiffer tip than I would like for D.S.

I agree with above I would add this if you are fishing deep shaky head you may want to also look at the 742. I would use the 702 shallow just because it is shorter and lighter. the 742 can also be used for Tx-rig

I like the Extreme 703 but I mostly use a 3/16oz or 1/4oz shaky head.

I also use it for a Tx. rigged Zoom speed craw.
