Thinking about taking the boat out to Lewisville this wknd for the first time. Gonna drop her in close to I35. Any recommendations on certain points/humps we can find the sandies and hybrids? Will also be drifting for blues when the sun goes down.

Arrowhead is open. We put in last Saturday at 11am and ramp was ok. Didn't have to wait on anyone but did have to park a little down the road. We caught all of our fish on white slabs. They didn't want chartreuse, silver/chrome, green, or any combination of those. Also threw a roostertail for a while with no results. Watch for the white egrets and blue herons together on the shoreline near deep water and they will tell you where the fish are.(14ft-18ft worked best for us) And one more thing-they really seemed to like a short lateral sweep of the slab instead of the traditional up and down if that makes sense. I was hopping mine off bottom and my partner caught way more than I did by pulling his slab sideways a foot or two at a time. We were off the water by 1pm and it was getting VERY bad with pleasure boaters. If I had to do it all over again I would go earlier and get off well before noon.

plus one on the horizontal presentation. even letting it sit there a minute before you move it again works good. silver / gold/ white/ chartreuse, all colors have been working lately. I guess Saturday they were real picky for you. Getting of water by 11 or sooner.

I put in at Arrowhead Saturday and Sunday. on the water at 7 and off by 10:30. The traffic on the ramp really increased at 10:
30. Few fish on Saturday. Fished with a friend and his 7 year old boy. We found a school in the middle of the lake. Everyone caught fish. Ben (ten year old) caught at least 10 fish on a 2 foot spiderman rod with a small white slab. The key was getting the lure in the water. About an hour later is was over. Great time.
