So there is a trail head called north Shore trail on N. Park Dr in the flowermound area. I haven't been by there since the flooding and was wondering what it looks like. It was one of my favorite banking spots last year.

Does anyone have info to offer? I would like to be able to either kayak or bank fish that cove in the coming months

North Shore is accessible. The Corp of Engineers has the gate locked and you can park at the trail and walk your kayak down to the shoreline. The shoreline is flooded so it is not very accessible for bank fishing unless you want to pick one spot and go cat fishing with bait. Recently, there have been about 6 trucks parked there on Saturday mornings so I guess there are about 6 kayaks using North Shore as a launch point.

As the Lake level goes down, the walk to the shoreline from the locked gate will become longer.

Like PowerLizard said, it is very accessible. The water is getting further from the gate every day though.

Someone is bank fishing almost every time I'm out there, I'm guessing they walk down the bike trail.

There are a few guys around here who put in there regularly. My wife and I get out that way every once in awhile, but haven't had much luck putting in there when targeting white bass.

Just watch out for snakes while you're out there. hammer
