Emily and Bill were just the nicest couple and the perfect two people for me to kind of wrap up the busy part of my schedule with.

I’ve been scheduled to fish 7 days a week since sometime in March to the last week of July and was lucky enough to get most of them in even with the bad weather this spring.

I want to thank everyone for fishing with me and showing their support on a daily basis but it's going to be really nice to be home for a few days. I have a few trips booked in August and will book a few more, but it always slows down in August and September and it's time for a break.

With the kids getting ready for school and off to college I know a whole lot of them had a good fishing trip this summer and I enjoyed every minute I had with them. Thanks to the parents and grandparents for bringing them down and letting them experience the great fishing on Richland Chambers so good luck with your school and sports. I will see you again next summer!!

Thanks again to Bill and Emily for ending a good season. Enjoy those fish.

I would also like to take this chance to invite everyone to fish with me and James this fall. We will be catching everything from hybrids and sand bass to big blue catfish.

To book your trip today call Bob Holmes Guide Service longest continuous running fishing guide on the lake and still the Striper Lake Record Holder.

Looks like the whites have done their late summer vanishing act. Sure hope we get some good fall fishing this year. Unlike the last few years.

I bet we get a little more action this Fall than years past just because of the fresh water and maybe a true Fall weather pattern wouldn't hurt.
Let's keep our fingers crossed!
