Do some research before you buy one of the "S" reels. They use cheaper parts and few if any parts are interchangeable with the older ones.

$83 is a good price for this reel. I wouldn't pay the regular price of $129, because there's a bunch of choices in that price range. I had one, sold it, and now looking to get another one. I'd be curious as to what cheaper parts the previous post were referring to.

Ive heard there are a few generations of the Revo S but cant find much info on which is the better one based on quality.

I have a Revo S and hated it until I figured out how to turn off the centrifugal brake. Now its not too bad. Throwing a swim jig on 50 braid, it does a pretty good job.
