On Sunday I had Kevin, Blanca, Xochil, and Totantzin from Tomball out on the water at Lake Somerville. The winds were zero as you will see in a picture. By 10:30 it was time to get off the water to a shade tree. They ended up with 26 cats for the cleaning table. We took a picture of the biggest, with me holding it. It was a 44# blue cat.
All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, using tight lines, in 12-15 foot water.
On Monday I had Jimmy and Chris from College Station. They wanted to get some cats to take to the lease with them for a fish fry. They ended up with 34 nice cats for the cleaning table. All caught in 15 foot water, tight lines, using CJ's Crawdad punch bait.
Also notice blue gill nests in shallow water at the parking lot of Overlook Marina. About three more days the parking lot will begin to dry. Welch park boat ramp is open and Overlook should be open by end of this week.
