I'm looking at buying a used 2007 Ranger with a Ranger Trail trailer. Owner says everything works on boat but surge brakes need a cylinder. He says he's had this issue before and it was $1500 to fix. Seems like a lot. Anyone else have these problems? Thanks

Sound like too much to me. I had a company replace the brake cylinder on my trailer for $350 but it wasn't a Ranger Trail.

I did it myself, had never done it before. It wasn't too bad of a job. Mine was on a pontoon trailer though, don't know how Rangers are set up.
