After seeing all the posts on Waco and Granger, it makes one think the pressure on these small lakes would have an impact on fishing. Do you think the constant pressure has made an impact on the fishing or not? Curious to see everyone's thoughts on the matter.

I wouldn't consider Waco a small lake by any means. It's over 8,000 acres! I believe fishing pressure affects smaller lakes than bigger ones but take Lake O' The Pines for example. In the winter, everyone heads to the dam and catches easy limits all of January and February until spawn. That lake has a very healthy crappie population and I believe so because there is a greater cull rate of fish. Take Cedar Creek for example too! That lake gets hammered and it's still a great fishery. I think as long as the lake has a healthy population of Shad, it can stand the fishing pressure.

Waco is a bait fish factory! fish eat well there and get big, Its a huge lake and has a healthy fish population no worried there. Granger has the best population of Crappie in the state according to TPW and the San G keeps it fed good, In fact we all need to fish it more because it can be a dink heaven...lol we need to cull to get bigger fish!
