 lost my hole shot

I have a new Yamaha 250 power head and did the break in period and everything was great but now it seems that my hole shot has really disapated. Any ideas what the problem can be?

Yes. Hot air means the engine does not get as much air which translates to as much as 10 percent loss in power.
Some people go to a lower pitch prop in the summer to get back some of the low end. Try dropping down one size and it will be better till the air cools.
