I am taking my grandson tomorrow night , for some night fishing. How are the boat ramps , and any idea's where a good spot might be ? I had thought about just getting under a bridge & see what happens. Any idea's ?

Boat ramps are fine. Bridges can be hit or miss just like any fishing spot. I would look at going down to the dam area and looking at the various humps , ledges , and drop offs. Lots of them in that area that have deep water around them. If your grandson is old enough , you could also try casting rat-l-traps to the lighted docks. Some hold more and better fish than others , and some do not hold any fish at all. Good luck !!!

I guess his age would have helped , lol he is only 7 , but I took him bank fishing last weekend , and he caught 2 catfish , & I lost the bet. I told him if he caught more than me I would take him out in the boat. lol I will be lucky if he sleeps. I got him a tackle box today so he is ready. Nothing like taking a kid fishing , you make lifetime memories.

The problem with that is you'll get eat up with sandies this time of year!

Long as he catches something , was thinking Crappie or Catfish. I guess minnows for Crappie and Punch bait for Catfish , not sure what kind , we usually use Danny Kings

The small blue cats have been so busy I have been catching them on the spinners while chasing the sandbass around.
