I have a Fusion stereo that has been in two different aluminum center console boats. Both AM & FM reception has been the pits and I have just about given up on even messing with it. I'm using a cheapie West Marine cable type antenna so I can hide it under the console, so I know I have an antenna issue. I called Fusion and all their tech support guy said was that I needed an independent ground antenna. I don't have any idea what that is or where to start looking. Google has not been my friend on this. I'm open to an unobtrusive antenna that can be discreetly mounted on the side of the console. I have a T-top but I don't want to have to deal with a mount and running a cable through the tubing of the top. Anyone have any suggestions?
